This stand doesn’t allow that!!! All the energy saved with 10 less pounds would be expended on the climb. But I’d rather get up and begin my hunt as quickly and quietly as possible. If you have the time, patience, and energy to spend getting up a tree, it’ll work. I can reach 25ft with my summit in no time flat.

Literally moved inches at a time and the cables caught on the smallest bark and knots. The foot platform was a lot harder to move.

The design doesn’t allow for your knees to go any higher than the bottom of the seat frame. Tried both sitting and hand climbing with it. I wouldn’t hunt from trees that thin regardless of the stand or how it functioned. Couldn’t attach it to anything other than small thin trees (lot thinner than what I attach my summit to). I took the stand outside and tried to attach it to multiple trees. I’m sure this wasn’t the first return of this particular stand. I didn’t notice until I fully assembled it but did notice that the shipping box was torn open, then hot glued back shut. First off the x stands seat platform was warped. Heavier, yes but quality and ease of use are impeccable. I’ve used summit climbers for years and love them. Hope this is helpful for anyone wanting to know more about this stand.Where to start. With some modifications it is a better product. So overall my assessment is that it is light, easy to pack in, fairly comfortable for it's design, is safe and secure in the tree, but not the easiest stand to climb with, and has sub-par accessories. My thumb punched a hole through it when installing, so I went and bought my own from Lowe's. Lastly, the foam tubing that comes with the stand is cheap. The teeth and cables on this stand are clearly designed for smaller trees. If you are used to using a Summit or other larger climbers be prepared to find smaller trees to climb. My 3rd issue is the diameter of tree you are limited to climb. I ended up using the stand as a hand climber. Combine that with crappy foot-straps and it's frustrating to climb with that way. Secondly, the "sit" bar is good in theory, but it sits so low when trying to climb that it makes it difficult to lift the platform up more than 2-3" at a time. I will likely have to find a bungee cord or something to go around the back of my heels to keep my feet in place. This doesn't work, and there is no adjustment that allows you to cinch the strap to your boots. The instructions tell you to just push your feet as far to the outside as possible to tighten the strap down. So I guess I can insert they have good Customer Service so far. I climbed one time and the threading came apart and pulled it loose from the platform. First and foremost, the footstrap for climbing. Now for the things I don't like about it. This is not an all day stand, but does the job for 3-4 hour hunts. The seat is decent for what you'd expect in a foam seat sitting directly on aluminum tubing. Most climbers have aluminum tubing the cables slide into. The platform is generous enough in size for me, a bigger guy with size 13 boots. This is one area that cuts significant weight off the stand. The overall stand's design concept is great, as it uses flexible fiberglass arms to hold the cables in place tightly against the tree. Packing in the stand is at least as quiet if not more quiet than a Summit is out of the box. The stabilizer straps it comes with double as backpack straps and do their job to lock the stand in place when you reach your desired height. It lives up to expectations as being one of the lightest climbers you will ever find.I am 6'2 and about 275 and I felt very secure and safe while climbing and in the stand. Just wanted to give my $.02 on this climber, now that I've used it.
